Welcome to ASBD's Medical  Oncology Online Learning Modules! The recorded lectures from the Medical Oncology webinar broadcast live in August 2022, along with online quizzes form the basis of the Medical Oncology Online Learning Modules. 

Medical Oncology: A Summary for the Breast MDT has been developed by the ASBD for multidisciplinary medical professionals working with breast cancer patients.

  • Sequencing of treatment in ER+, HER2+ and triple negative metastatic breast cancer

Moor

Dr Rebecca Moor

Dr Rebecca Moor is a consultant medical oncologist specialising in breast and thoracic cancers. After obtaining her FRACP, she undertook a clinical research fellowship at the Mater Cancer Care Centre where she continued as a staff specialist in the public oncology unit until moving into private practice in 2022. Dr Moor is actively involved in breast cancer research and participates in clinical trials through the Mater Research’s Medical Oncology Clinical Trials group, including collaborative studies with BCT (Australia and New Zealand by Breast Cancer Trials). She now works as a private medical oncologist at the Mater Cancer Care Centre, at both the South Brisbane and Springfield campuses, and holds a public appointment at the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Kate Roberts

Dr Kate Roberts is a medical oncologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, with an interest in breast, colorectal and upper gastrointestinal malignancies. She is the principal or co-investigator on a number of trials in these areas, and has a particular research interest in survivorship.

   

  

 WhiteAssociate Professor Shane White

After completing his medical oncology training in Melbourne, Shane worked at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, UK. He completed a Doctorate in Medicine in 1999.

Shane currently attends the Austin Breast and Lung Oncology clinics. He was previously the director of medical oncology at the Northern Hospital.

Shane is an active recruiter in clinical trials and is a principal investigator of breast and lung cancer research studies at the Austin and Northern Hospitals. He is a foundation member of the Australasian Lung Cancer Trials Group (ALTG) and a member of the Australia and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZBCTG).
