ASBD welcomes Susan Carroll, Radiation Oncologist, to the board. Susan joined the ASBD Executive in early March and attended the Strategic Planning Day on 9th March. She is already making huge contributions to the society by securing two high profile international Radiation Oncologists as speakers for ASBD"s 14th Scientific Meeting in 2025. 

A/Prof Susan Carroll is a Senior Radiation Oncologist who sub-specialises in breast cancer, haematological malignancies and lower gastrointestinal cancers. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in Radiation Oncology for Sydney University. Clinical interests in breast, lower gastrointestinal (GI), and haematological malignancies

A/Prof Carroll did her undergraduate degree at University of NSW and her Specialist training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney where she subsequently worked for 7 years as a Radiation Oncologist subspecialising in haematology, paediatric and breast cancer. She then moved to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for over a decade and now works at Royal North Shore Hospital as a senior staff specialist and a visiting Radiation Oncologist for GenesisCare.

Clinical and research interests

A/Prof Carroll has clinical research interests including radiation therapy techniques, innovation in technology supporting improved frequency of treatment, and teaching.
